How does a video consultation work?2022-10-06T08:57:29+00:00

When you choose the video link consultation, a link will be sent to you by email. You just click on the link provided and it will take you to the consultation. It is an idea to book in 10 minutes early so that know that your link is working. If you have any problems booking in I will phone you on the telephone number you have provided. Make sure you have a nice private space and time to talk uninterrupted.

Once you have paid the booking fee, a pre consultation questionnaire will be sent to you. This will provide important information that I will require for your consultation. It is important to complete this to the best of your knowledge. I will assess this prior to your appointment, and if there are any questions that I have I may email you for more information.

Refunds and cancellations?2022-10-06T08:59:07+00:00

Refunds will only be available if a cancellation is generated by Watson Health. Watson Health reserves the right to cancel appointments at any time if unforeseen circumstances arise.

Any cancellation requests must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice of the original booking. Cancellation requests after this time will not be offered any alternative appointment and will be charged the full appointment fee.

Can I ask my GP to provide the prescriptions or tests?2022-10-06T08:59:23+00:00

I will provide you with a letter which details any recommendations for treatment. Your GP may agree to provide this for you, although they are not obligated.

Yes I am. I qualified as a registered Nurse in 1989 and have worked in the NHS since this time. In 2003 I qualified as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and in 2004 moved to work in General Practice in a GP surgery. In 2004 I also qualified as a nurse Independent Prescriber. I qualified with a women’s health Diploma in 2007. I trained to fit coils and implants for contraception and do this in my NHS job. In 2019 I was awarded the Royal College of Nursing Advanced Level Nursing Practice Credential. I am passionate about care of women in the menopause and perimenopause and so trained with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, qualifying in May 2022 with the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care which is recognised by the British Menopause Society. I have also certified training in using cognitive behavioural therapy for managing hot flushes and night sweats (British Menopause Society) using group sessions.

Menopause appointment (45minutes) (£150) at clinic or via video link

This appointment is available for open discussion of your menopause symptoms and concerns. It enables focus on what is important to you. I can empower you with the knowledge of what you can do to maximise your health and wellbeing and minimise unwanted symptoms. This may include information about treatments available, risk and benefits of treatments, alternative and complimentary options, and work-related advice. This appointment is not diagnostic and does not offer prescription of HRT – but will help you decide what is right for you and next steps you can take.
